Since the new Xbox dashboard was launched at the back end of last year, things that were once simple and easy to find have now become secreted away in the bowels of dashboard.
The Indie Games menu is one of those things. Never obvious to find on the last dash update they have now been hidden with even more zeal by Microsoft but I can assure you that they are there.
So, here is my quick step by step guide to finding them:
1) So, from the main dashboard landing screen you want to move right until you land on the tab marked Games. So far so good eh?
2) Then you want to click on the box labelled Game Market Place.
3) You now need to move right until you highlight the tab titled Downloadable Games.
4) In the top right corner of this menu there is a box entitled Game Type - click on that. It’s icon is a girl wearing a green hoodie for some strange and cryptic reason.
5) Now just select the box entitled Indie Games and away you go!
Quite why Microsoft decided it was a good idea to bury their games market place like this is bizarre but there you go!
Get downloading and have fun!
Indie games are still on Xbox Live, they’re just harder to find. And with new Xbox Live Arcade pricing rules, indie games on XBLA will be cheaper than ever!
